There is a strangely organic feel to this building. Whether by design or not, the yellow window lights resemble insect eyes and make the structure seem alive. By keeping the lens exactly aligned with the lines of the windows makes the optical distortion disappear.

The shapes of the buildings and the light that flows between them create wonderful light and contrasts. Every moment in this complex is different. All it takes is a slight shift of light and the whole object starts to look different.

The science museum of Valencia was built by Valencia architect Santiago Calatrava between 1996 and 1998. the whole building resemble the skeleton of a whale but this photo was shot partly showing architecture line and the reflection of the building.

AWARDS COMMITTEE REVIEW

After the Jury completed their scoring the shortlist was automatically generated and submitted to the Awards Committee who applied additional scoring criteria that either added points or deduct points thus creating the final seven Nominees published on this page.

In each category, there will be awarded:

One Winner
One Runner-up
Five Certificates of Merit

The Winner and Runner-up from each category will be invited to the 2024 Xposure Festival from 28th February to 5th March inclusive. During the Awards Ceremony on 1st March February 2023, the final outcome of the position will be announced.

The 2023 Jury consisted of 23 professional photographers and industry experts.
