Aweer Market Bridge is one of the busiest bridges in Dubai. The labours depend on this bridge to cross Sheikh Zaned Road for their daily routine.

Spreading Paddy Rice

At the break of dawn a group of rice mill worker boiled the paddy rice and others carry and spread on the floor of out side the rice mill to dry under the sun. By continue raking it out and then sweeping it back they make sure that dry process running properly. The steam smoke deriving from the rice boiling creates a very dramatic atmosphere.

Destroy Together

In Deqing County, Zhaoqing City, China, it is said that there was already a folk custom of “frying lions” during the Spring Festival in the Song Dynasty. On the 15th day of the first lunar month, everyone took turns lighting firecrackers and throwing “lions” until the lions were blown to pieces, symbolizing the drive away evil and praying for peace in all seasons and a bountiful harvest.

After the Jury completed their scoring the shortlist was automatically generated and submitted to the Awards Committee who applied additional scoring criteria that either added points or deduct points thus creating the final seven Nominees published on this page.

In each category, there will be awarded:

One Winner
One Runner-up
Five Certificates of Merit

The Winner and Runner-up from each category will be invited to the 2024 Xposure Festival from 28th February to 5th March inclusive. During the Awards Ceremony on 1st March February 2023, the final outcome of the position will be announced.

The 2023 Jury consisted of 23 professional photographers and industry experts.
