Description: I was woken up early this morning by the sound of the firecrackers. I rushed outside to see the whole village in their best attire celebrating Eid. Eid commemorates the end of the holy month of Ramadan. It is celebrated by a large, community-wide prayer service in the morning. Families then gather for festivities. Children play outside. I have rarely sensed such a sense of community in one place.
