Description: This is a Swallowtail caterpillar showing its Osmeterium. When the caterpillar gets any kind of disturbance then it emerges from the caterpillar’s thorax Osmeterium from the behind the head as if they are mimicking snake tongue. It is a bright green coloured and have two large eyespots on the thorax behind the head. Osmeterium is stinky reddish orange in colour with forked gland that deters predators.
