Description: Jam Gadang is a historical architectural structure for the Bukittinggi community in Indonesia, History. Jam Gadang was built in 1925–1927 on the initiative of Hendrik Roelof Rookmaaker, controleur or secretary of the city of Fort de Kock (now Bukittinggi City) during the Dutch East Indies government. The clock was a gift from Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands.
