Juvenile Munks devil rays congregate in the protected calm waters around Los Islotes, a Unesco Biosphere marine reserve.
Snorkelling late into the night we were able to experience the spectacle as hundreds of rays arrive in squadrons, eager to feed on the unexpected plankton feast gathered around a green light hanging off the back of our boat. I used a slow shutter speed to capture their synchronised movement and grace.
