The powerful beginning of the 7th eruptive episode of the 2023-2024 eruption of Svartsengi volcanic system, in southwestern Iceland the 21st of November 2024. All the eruptions started in the same way, with a several kilometers long eruptive fissure producing massive lava flows. In this case a 2,5 kilometers long lava flow is developing from a 4 km long eruptive fissure visible in the background.
