- Description: While looking closely at a Siam weed plant, I noticed many small aphids gathered on the stem with ants moving around them. I learned that the ants protect the aphids from predators and, in return, collect the sweet honeydew produced by the aphids. I found it amazing that such tiny insects can have such a close relationship.
