- Description: I photographed a banana froghopper, Phymatostetha deschampsi, on a banana leaf during the monsoon in Kerala. It feeds on plant sap and releases clear droplets from its body while feeding. The water drops covering the leaf caught my attention and helped me notice this tiny insect and its unusual behaviour.
